Not lists to memorise. Vocabulary that comes from what you read, watch and talk about, practised until it stays with you.

Explained in context rather than as rules to memorise. We fix the mistakes that actually get in your way and leave the rest alone.

I'm CELTA-qualified with a Pass B, and I hold an MA in Bilingual Translation. Before teaching, I spent over ten years working professionally with languages for international companies, so I've thought about how English works for a very long time.
My training is in translation, which is the discipline of carrying an exact meaning from one language into another without losing it. That shapes how I teach: not simpler English, but English that says what you actually mean.
Lessons are relaxed. I correct you kindly, I tell you honestly what to work on next, and I'm very happy working with quieter learners who find speaking difficult.

One-to-one, fully personalised. Pay as you go, save with a block of lessons, or work with me intensively for eight weeks.

- Up to four of your own emails, CVs or pitches reviewed in detail
- Written notes and a personal phrasing list after every lesson

- Two 60-minute live sessions a week, maximum four people, matched by level (B1 to B2)
- Real conversations, natural phrasing and live correction in a calm group
- Opens for a November start once three students have joined the list
- No payment until your place is confirmed
Lessons are 60 minutes, online. The autumn intake price applies to your first block only. If a lesson genuinely doesn't help you, tell me. I'd rather fix it than keep your money.
